Masterpiece Carving! Magnificent Movement!
Harrison Jr. Miklahook is a well-respected carver from Alaska.
Harrison uses whalebone, baleen, and muskox horn to carve his magnificent whale sculptures.
Baleen are strips of fibrous tissue that filter food like teeth. Pieces of baleen also form fins.
BELUGA BALLET is one of the most elegant and delicate Beluga carvings I have seen.
The purity of the white bone, the elongated "dancer's" body and the unusual detailing of the black eyes are stunning.
Beluga Ballet is one of those carvings that appears to be in constant motion.
This sculpture is carved using a muskox horn.
A majestic beauty!
