**Ningeosiak Ashoona SIGNATURE Loon carving

Sultry SUTHERLAND is the delightful counterpart to Ning Ashoona's stunning loon NVIDIA .

Both loons were carved from the same deep velvet black serpentine stone interspersed with meandering fine lines of green.

The undulating folded wings of the birds are a feature I have never see before.

I admire Ning's constant reinvention of her SIGNATURE loons.

Each of loon carvings emote peace and calm.

Ning is the only active female carver from Cape Dorset.

My clients cherish her pieces, whether they are birds, bears or seals.
