MASTERPIECE CARVING! MUSEUM QUALITY SCULPTURE!
LIFE IN AN IGLOO is an exquisite piece carved by world renowned artist Jimmy Iqaluq.
It was the featured carving in the 2018 Inuit Art Festival in Puvirnituk.
Life in an Igloo, memorializes a moment in the life of two traditional Inuit men.
They are struggling to build an igloo to shelter away from the harsh Northern night.
Their sled dog and their hunted “kill” are nearby.
This is a multi media piece.
The stone is tenderly polished to a high glossy finish.
The light that emanates from the stone focuses the eye on the men and their canine companion.
Nearby lies the caribou antler sled which holds the mens’ precious cargo.
The viewer hungrily searches for all the details in this piece.
The details make this piece magical!
Jimmy Iqaluk is in the top five Inuit artists in Canada.
Be assured, when Jimmy retires from carving, his works will be the centrepiece of any auction house.
Jimmy's Masterpieces will easily increase in their monetary value as the years go buy.
Life in an Igloo is in perfect condition.
