Masterpiece Carving! Museum quality Sculpture!
When Elite Master Carver Jimmy Iqaluq turns his highly tuned attention to a new subject, the result is always PURE MAGIC.
LEVIATHON is Jimmy's interpretation of the popular Beluga Whale.
Known as the Sea Canary because of its high pitched vocals, the Beluga is a favourite.
The Beluga is known for its cheerful personality and small beak.
Leviathon's prominent forehead is referred to as a melon which of course why the Beluga is also called a Melonhead.
Did you know Leviathon is related to the Narwhal and to Dolphins?
He is the only white whale.
What I love about Jimmy's Beluga is the graceful posture of the whale.
One has a sense that Leviathon is gliding in a large turn to the right.
The pattern of the green stone is diagonally placed.
This visual creates an impression that the water is quickly flowing over Leviathon as he traverses the ocean floor.
What a spectacular Jimmy Iqaluq sculpture.
Jimmy never stops inventing and creating.
Always pushing the envelope!
Without an Iqaluq carving, your collection would not be complete.
